I apologize if this has already been covered but I don’t think an actual witness list has been made public. There’s been lots of speculation and of course not everyone on the list would necessarily be called. We can be fairly sure that Cohen, Daniels and McDougal will be called but who else? The Defense may have witnesses too. There may not be very many more.
Who is on the defense witness list other than the guy we know damn well won’t testify? Has the defense indicated how long their side will take?
Week 2 of testimony.
Per the article below, the parties have listed 41 potential witnesses (they are annotated) that the judge read to potential jurors (this is done to ensure that a juror doesn’t have a preexisting relationship with a witness).
I emphasize potential, as they may not be called. But, given the effort to be thorough and meticulous, the DA may indeed bring everybody that they have to the stand.
(In reviewing it again, I see that donald, his wife, and his sons are included. That leads me to believe that this also includes possible defense witnesses).

Calling Melania would be ice cold but I don’t think that she can be compelled to testify against Donald though.
The article says that these are potential witnesses or key players whose name may come up in the course of the trial. Not all of them are on either side’s potential witness list. Despite that, it’s a great cite.

It gives me hope that this trial won’t be interminable. I’m guessing we have about another 4 weeks to go before the state rests.
I really can’t fathom who the defense will call. Maybe that’s the reason we haven’t seen Donald’s family in the courtroom- witnesses can’t sit in on the rest of the trial. So maybe Ivanka or Jr (not Eric, he did show up) will try to run interference, although I doubt it.
My guess is that, when it comes time for the defense, they will want to rest without any witnesses. But donald will overrule them and do himself no favors on the stand.

He’d give SBF a run for his money as worst witness ever. I can’t imagine that he’ll testify. There’s no universe where it would help. He knows that.
Would either of them actually commit perjury just to save Daddy Dearest? Sure, they’d do it save themselves (see business fraud case), but to save Trump the Smellder?
Not sure. It’s pretty “safe” perjury, since no one could prove it’s a lie, despite it being obviously a lie.
There could be a witness who heard them say “Fuck, he doesn’t give a crap about Melania’s feelings!” Hell, Trump might have even texted that himself at some point.
True enough. But this kind of perjury is almost never prosecuted. It should be, but that’s probably a better conversation in a separate thread.

True. The gag order only covers witnesses, jurors, staff and their families – not Bragg or Merchan. So this rant did not violate the gag order.
OK, I’ll accept that analysis as correct, but I read the clause “(2) Members of the Court’s staff or the District Attorney’s staff” to include the judge. If not, then maybe it’s time for the gag order to be tightened once again.
ETA: You also gotta love the Orange Peril’s strategy to piss off the judge to the point that the judge must hate his ever-loving guts. Trump thinks like a two-year-old, when he thinks at all.
I would hope that the Judge has better things to do than monitor ‘truth social’ and would only be made aware of these posts thru formal filings.
