The month delay is disappointing, but on the bright side, more serious charges might come first, leaving this as the icing on the cake. Over on the dark side, much as I’d like to believe that TFG is worried about all these pending charges, I suspect that his own ignorance and the sycophants that surround him all conspire to making him believe that he’s invulnerable. So seeing justice actually make its move would be so, so welcome.
they may also want to time it for when he is in or near nyc. that way there won’t be much delay between indictment and court appearance.
Maybe, grand jury secrecy is actually real. The leaks may have come from people, on the outskirts of law enforcement, who don’t know as much as they anonymously claim.
Rumors have a way of amplifying in the media / social media sphere. Doubly so when the lefties and righties take opposite reactions to something and the rumor ping-pongs back and forth between the opposing echospheres.
The NYPD reacted to a massive squeal of feedback coming from the amplifier of our collective TFG-hate-love-angst. Aided of course by TFG himself shouting into the microphone while standing in front of one of the speakers.

… playboy (sic) model before the 2016 presidential election, two people familiar with the matter said.
Prosecutors have asked at least one witness questions about a $150,000 payment the publisher of the National Enquirer made to the model, Karen McDougal, to buy her story about the alleged affair with Trump, the people said.
The witness also was asked about other stories bought by American Media Inc. – which publishes the Enquirer – and later killed.
It isn’t clear whether prosecutors are considering the payment as part of its investigation or using it as a pattern to establish a pattern of entering into such deals.
Wow.
Reports that Trump has been indicted in the NY hush money case.
Wow.
No online confirmation yet (all the stories are ‘2 days ago’ and such) but both CNN and MSNBC are reporting this.
Online now:
Yes, the online stuff is slowly being updated. Twitter may have had it first:
New York Times is online with the news, too, but it’s firewalled, of course.
It’s sad and funny that all the not-yet-updated stories from the major news outlets all say some variation on ‘Trump not expected to be indicted this week’ and ‘Grand jury adjourns without voting’ and the like.
Could be it was deliberate–the announcement of the ‘month off’, for example–to keep Trump’s fans from forming caravans to come to NYC.
Oh my, oh happy day. Hopefully the first of several.
So does that mean he gets arrested (or turns himself in) tomorrow?
From discussions and opinions dating back several weeks, he might be able to elect to do a video arraignment from Mar-a-Lago. But of course he’s already signaled that he wants the publicity of a public arrest (and “martyrdom”).
Tomorrow is not necessarily the deadline, it looks like:
I’m so glad that Bragg did NOT give Trump an extra month in which to develop his ‘that Wonderful grand jury fully exonerated me!’ theme.
Obviously to anyone but a Trump fan that is nonsense.
But to the Trump-fan-mind, an extra month of having that message hammered into their skulls could have led to actual belief–and worse, to acting on that belief.
What? This knocked me for a loop. I wasn’t expecting to hear anything until after the hiatus. Well played, sir! I’m sure it came as a big surprise to almost everyone.
Isn’t it at the DA’s discretion to follow the Grand Juries recommendation? Even so, thats a nice trump card to have in your hand.
I saw what you did there.
My 86 year old mom just texted me:
“The first time in a while I am drinking a little wine. I am celebrating the Indictment of Trump.”

Does this mean he will be arrested? Like…in cuffs and so forth?
It’s the little moments that matter to me…
They’ll treat him like a special snowflake. As long as they fingerprint him and mug shoot him, and have him suffer the indignity of facing a judge, I’ll be content.
