Someone less uncritical and credulous than your average magachud or the nihilists in the right-wing media for whom truth is optional might have nosted that the poster’s profile gave his name as “Fuck You” and his avatar was a photo of a deceased punk singer known for throwing his own shit at the audience, or that he also claimed to be married to his cousin.
A small bright spot:
Foxnews is currently reporting this story with a banner proclaiming “Unverified Claim” , and below that phrase, a headline saying “questionable Facebook post”. In the body of the article Fox quotes the uknown poster’s profile as a “sh- poster”.

Yeah, great. Give Trump a new trial if he wants it. Let him spend a few more weeks asleep in a cold courtroom, when he could otherwise be attending rallies.

Legal question: if a new trial happens, who will be the judge?
If there’s any way for Trump to get a different judge, it’s worth it to him to sit and fart for a few more weeks.
It’s Justice Merchan who would preside over the new trial. There’s no valid reason to remove him as the judge.
Just a reminder for anyone skimming the last handful of posts; the “leak” was a troll and there’s no basis for a mistrial.
There will be no new trial. There will be a couple hearings.
Well, there’ll also be a lot of screaming about how this proves it was rigged. Fake jurors, unfair.
Will there even be that? Assuming the facts are as it appears (this is a random troll who is not connected to either the jury or the trial) Why would there be any hearing? Surely the most that will happen is a a couple of NYPD officers will track this guy down, interview him to establish those facts, and give him a warning for making false statements.
But only because of this troll. If he hadn’t posted that all MAGAts would have stoically accepted the guilty verdict and respected the rule of law. 
It’s just another straw for Trump supporters to grasp at, even if it turns out to not even be a straw.

Likely the same reason we get trolls on this board – for the lulz. Or, less likely, a devoted MAGAt trying to stir up another conspiracy theory for the rest of the MAGAsphere to hang their hats on, since they automatically believe anything that supports their orange messiah.
It can also be profitable for him. These days, anything that generates engagement through clicks, likes, and follows can increase the value of the account. The publicity he and his account will get from this will boost his followers and generate more revenue for him.
