There’s no getting away from this over-the-top coverage today. MSNBC is going to wear out its “BREAKING NEWS!!” banner.
Looking rather dejected as he plods into the building.
Trump has arrived at the courthouse. He got out of his SUV, waved to the crowd and walked to the courthouse door.

What are the crowds like? Any significant protests?
From what I can see, they’re neither large nor small. But it’s hard to tell, because there is so much security, and “ordinary people” crowds are being kept well away, so all I can see of the crowds are long shots of people in the distance.
Not really any significant protests so far. Watching NBC News live. Kristen Welker, who is on the scene, mentioned trump’s poll numbers going up as a result of the arraignment, which makes me queasy.
I understand it will likely be a minor bump and the long-term effects of his legal trouble will most likely be a great detriment to his campaign, but still…

Trump’s lead has widened over rivals in the Republican Party’s presidential nominating contest, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Monday, conducted after news broke that he would face criminal charges.
Some 48% of Republicans say they want Trump to be their party’s presidential nominee, up from 44% last month. Second-place Florida Governor Ron DeSantis fell from 30% to around 19%. More than two-thirds of poll respondents said they believed that Trump paid hush money to Daniels, but half said they thought the charges were politically motivated.
As of last week, Trump had the R nomination all but sewn up if the opinion polling is taken as accurately reflecting how the primary votes will go.
Just about half of half of America wants Trump for Emperor. And half of all America will vote for that outcome given the opportunity.

I can attest, from sad experience, that beer does not go on popcorn nearly as well. Butter, grated parm, various herb or spice blends: sure. Salt: of course. But beer? Not so much.
There’s nothing so forlorn as a nice individual bowl of popcorn swimming in half a glass of spilled beer. Even the beer isn’t salvageable. The popcorn? Fuggedaboudit.
Is Trump wearing a bulletproof vest?
He doesn’t appear to be, but he could be wearing one under his suit. Hard to tell.

It’s possible he’s just put on some more weight lately from stress-binging Bic Macs.
In those pics he looks less fat to me than he did shortly before the 2020 election. Though I try to spend as little time as possible looking at TFG pix, much less evaluating them.
Kinda like turning the page and seeing an unexpected picture of a spider. There’s instant revulsion and an involuntary urge to quickly turn the page. Which urge can be easily fought if there’s a reason to. In his case there isn’t.
