What happens is he gets arrested for inciting a riot and a few other things. At least some of which are federal charges.
And given his history of using mass communications to stir up trouble, it’ll be easy enough to get an order remanding him to federal custody without the ability to communicate directly with the public.
Sounds like just about the ideal outcome to me.
Net of the few storefronts that’ll get burned, the few police and bystanders injured, etc. But on a national scale, that’s microdrop in the ocean compared to the other harms he’s done to this country and will do if permitted to continue on his reckless course to power again.
What’s funny is exactly that manuever has been unfolding these last couple weeks in Pakistan protecting a disgraced former populist kleptocrat president from arrest and prosecution.
With no disrespect to any Pakistanis still posting here, when US politics starts to echo places like that play-for-play, the US and therefore the world are in deep shit.
How large an area do they really think they could enclose like that? I think the main building is essentially Trump’s residence and something of a clubhouse for the golf course. Hard to imagine Trump staying in just that one building for very long; no rallies, no campaign events, no golf games. Plus, they’d have to keep the people in the moat supplied. Seems to me it would be pretty easy to just wait them out.
It’s an interesting idea for a protest, but it’s hard to see it working in a practical sense.
'Cause anytime anyone suggests trump do one thing, he does the opposite. In fact, if the lawyers came right out and told trump to incite a ginormous riot, he’d probably turn himself in quietly.
Don’t the Marines have some huge hovercrafts? They could drive one right up to the house and scoop the fucker up before the knuckledraggers knew what was happening.
So this is the week? I think Donnie wants a perp walk to enhance his victimhood. Maybe even hire Doug Hutchinson to swat him with a baton while shouting “Dead man walking! We got a dead man walking here!”
I would like to see his surrender, arrest, and arraignment happen with as little media hoopla as possible. Also hoping for a gag order. Probably neither will happen. Oh well.
Really? Not saying a gag order is a good idea, but there have been some pretty great civil rights violation in the last couple hundred years that I think at least come close.
