Manual removal of hiberfil.sys?

I recently added some extra RAM to my laptop, and as a result the hibernation file has become too large to have around. I no longer have access to the ‘disable hibernation’ button, having removed Toshiba’s power saver thing because I never used it. The installation CDs are in ‘a safe place’, and we all know what that means. :smack:

Is there any simple way of getting rid of the file? I’d guess that it’s possible to alter the registry, but no way am I messing with that unless I know exactly what I’m doing.

Did you try “delete”?
