Plus they’re (they were) just kids. Hard to muster up hate for them, in my opinion. “Mmm Bop” as annoying in its ubiquitousness as it was, was actually a pretty decent little pop ditty. Wouldn’t have been too out-of-place as a Jackson 5 number.
