CAN is not SHOULD. Meaning that if NECESSARY, the two of you can be more “productive.” Just let her know that you also want to spend some “down” time with her, just chillin’. She loves you; she’ll understand.

And I didn’t hear a truck, either,
We have at least one electric (Rivian?) Amazon delivery van tootling around our area - it is very stealthy.
Am I mistaken that our president came out to discuss a horrible shooting and talked about ice cream?
Since switching over to paperless delivery for most bills and statements, we don’t get much significant mail anymore. Each day, I flip through the mail for anything that might be of interest (frickin’ Blue Cross Blue Shield refuses to allow a paper-free option for Mom’s Supplement and Prescription Drug plans, and there’s one bank account that still generates paper ‘notifications’ for some reason). Most of the mail ends up in a basket; when the basket gets full, I open envelopes in search of things that should be shredded, and recycle the rest.
Last month, one of Mom’s credit cards was due to expire. Sure enough, she got a notice that a replacement had shipped, that it was on the way…then nothing. Updates flopped between “in transit” and “it’s been mailed.” Knowing that the card would arrive in a plain envelope, I was extra careful with the mail, checking each plain envelope for signs of the card. Nothing! I even went back through the basket looking for envelopes bearing the credit card company’s logo or even color scheme…still nothing. I rechecked that damn basket at least a half dozen times, convinced that I had to have missed it. Mom finally gave up and contacted the credit card company; they promptly issued a new card and canceled the old number. The new card arrived quickly; Mom was slightly freaked out about the old card ‘floating around’ out there, but there was never any indication that anyone tried to activate it.
So I was going through the basket yesterday, and found an envelope from the credit card company, bedecked in their bold colors with “Important Account Documents” printed on the front. I opened it, expecting to find some kind of balance transer offer…and instead found the original card. Based on its position in the stack of mail, I think it arrived after Mom requested the replacement. Hardly a ‘plain’ envelope though!

Cite?
Only one I can find at the moment is from Faux News.
I found it on google. I think nypost mentions it.
Speaking of Today’s school shooting some right wing pundits on Twitter are complaining law enforcement did NOT release the name of shooter fast enough…keep mind at the time I am writing this it has NOT even been 12 hours since the shooting happened…

Am I mistaken that our president came out to discuss a horrible shooting and talked about ice cream?
Or that he had Ice-cream with Trudeau in Ottawa and that this was the first news conference since?
Or that maybe that one joke was to show that Trudeau, and that meeting, wasn’t forgotten?
Certainly not as forgotten as the GQP have forgotten the American People with more gun violence.
Certainly not as ignorant as informing POTUS that Congress will make no further gun legislation “for at least two years”.
But POTUS Did address gun violence and Did ask Congress to ban Assault Weapons.
.
But, as turn about is fair play, “Am I mistaken that our” PAB former guy held a rally in WACO, TX on the 30th Anniversary of The Branch Davidian Compound armed uprising? The one that cost so many brave ATF officers lives and had to be justifiably put down with armored vehicles?
And where are all those far right talking heads asserting, yet again, that we need to have God and prayer back in schools to prevent these school shootings? What’s that you say? Oh, this happened at a private Christian school? Oops. Damn, now what asinine and nonsensical platitude can I use to distract from the real causes and viable solutions to this issue?
So its ok if both sides act stupid?
Hint: The lawfully elected and legitimate president of the United States of America, Joseph Biden, was not talking about ice cream. Language is kind of funny sometimes.
I don’t think Joe Biden was stupid.
The New York Post, a conservative tabloid, thought he was stupid.
Fox News thought he was stupid. They cited Chris Christie who thought he was stupid.
Biden also talked about the shooting being sick and heartbreaking, and vowed to push harder to restrict access to weapons that are used in these shootings, in an attempt to actually do something to prevent them, rather than offer “hopes and prayers”.
But, the right wing media, and you too I guess, just care about an ice cream joke done outside of his serious addressing of the issue. Okay then.
Okay, I’ve heard seven people (including the perp) are dead … why TF is everyone talking about ice cream?
I don’t wanna Google it (my feed is as it is) so could some kind Doper plz give a nutshell explanation?
It seems, I could be wrong, the President was to address this horrific event, and chuckled about ice cream. Imagine if Trump had done that, people would be yelling, How insensitive!

Imagine if Trump had done that, people would be yelling, How insensitive!
If Trump had insisted that there be assault weapon restrictions, there would be all kinds of yelling, but not about ice cream.
Nah, Tan the Conman would simply mock another disabled reporter, utter inane condemnations about war heros, or go on a bizarre tangent. And his followers would applaud every bit of it.

Imagine if Trump had done that, people would be yelling, How insensitive!
I’d rather imagine a P.A.B. perp walk ( waddle? ). It’s closer to reality than your imaginings…
Deflecting.

It seems…
He was addressing a roomful of women business owners, including a rep from Jeni’s ice cream. It wasn’t a news conference about the shootings, although he brought that up as well. Do you even read the crap you post here before you post it, or just blindly believe everything the NY Post and Fox News spew out?
When you read stuff like this, look for a reputable source before you buy into it. NYPost is not a reputable source, they’re the Nat’l Enquirer on steroids. Same with Fox News. You seem to do this here a lot. Each time, you’re corrected.
Find a reputable source. Not just, 'I saw it on Google".
