I did find another source with an article expressing outrage.
…But it was just quoting the NY Post.
It’s just right wing propaganda. I had to laugh at Fox News who titled their article, “Biden criticized for joking about ice cream in first statement since attack”. But the criticism was from Chris Christie, an irrelevant former Republican politician working today as a lobbyist.
You asked to imagine if Trump had said something. I provided examples of why I had no need to imagine it. First, Trump actually did all of what I posted. Second, President Biden wasn’t talking about ice cream instead of talking about the school shooting.
People can say bad things about him. I wish he was a better public speaker, for one thing. And he walks funny. (Well, he’s old, so that last thing is understandable.) But if you are pushing right wing propaganda, you’re going to get a little pushback from a primarily left-leaning board, especially on a web site fighting ignorance and misinformation.
The point is, you can’t just repeat lies. It’s up to you to confirm if the gossip you read is accurate before you spread it like it’s the gospel truth. It makes you just as bad as they are. And it makes you look ignorant.
Ive had a few really shitty days, crying in the hardware store because I have to buy some disability aids kind of shitty. Today was a good day though, minimal pain and good balance. My best friend was, having a hard day and I had the energy to help her, a really good day.
I came home, took my edible and browsed Reddit. I wrote a long response to a thread.
I proof read, fix an error or 2 and think I’m pretty funny and insightful. I hit post.
Then, I scratched my back. Something felt funny.
I have been walking around all fucking day with my yoga pants on backwards! They have a ‘v’ front, there is no excuse for this!
I once had to tell a woman she’d tucked her dress into her undergarments after she visited the bathroom. Well, I didn’t have to tell her, I felt obligated though.
After extensive searching I ordered two pairs of shoes from different companies. The first one sent me the right shoe in the wrong size. When I called about this, they told me they no longer had the correct size shoe in the color I wanted. I also had to package up the incorrect pair and take those over to UPS.
The second company’s shoes went on walkabout (heh) in the FedEx system and finally arrived today. One shoe has its insole missing. At least that is something I can fix myself, but jeez, who knew something that should have been pretty easy was going to be so hard?
I’m told that, during my kindergarten class play (which was being broadcast on the public access channel for some reason), I kept raising the skirt of my dress over my head.
