I was watching the MASH episode with a sniper “pinging” away at the camp. Col. Blake and Radar are trapped in the showers. At one point, Radar tries to make a run for it wrapped only in a towel. After running around like in a shooting gallery, Radar ducks back into the showers BUT (Butt!) not before dropping his towel and showing a full moon to the camera. It is only visible for a split second, so keep a keen eye! I am hoping another MASH fan with the DVDs can verify what I think I am seeing. Although, I see no reason why Radar can’t be wearing boxers underneath his towel. So, do you see what I see? Or, am I seeing things?
Mate, if you want to see bare buttocks, there’s a whole world of opportunity outside freeze-framing old MASH episodes.
Wasn’t this the very first incident of a prime time TV episode having nudity (albeit brief)?
Watch one of the MASH reunion shows. They talk about this and tell the story. They filmed it, edited it, left it in, and waited for the censors to tell them to take it out. The didn’t, so it aired as you see it today, with his butt visible toe everyone.
Sometimes things just get through. Not that long later, Hawkeye sees Hot Lips massaging Frank with a vibrating massage thing. He says, “Just like I always said, behind every great man is a woman with a great vibrator.” They left that in too for some reason.
Of all the butts available on MASH, we get to see Radar’s. :rolleyes:
Unless it’s on a channel that mangles the show to put in a few more commercials. 
Sundance Channel recently showed the episode with Radar’s bare butt intact.
