Yeah. Besides the obvious moral issues just blowing them up means we don’t get much if any information on what they were doing, or anything else. Even in an actual war you try to take prisoners to interrogate.
This is about killing for fun.

ISTM that we have the ability and equipment to seize the vessel and arrest the crew, like we did a few days ago.
But then we wouldn’t get to do this
If Beavis and Butt-Head ran the US military, it might end up looking something like what were seeing.
Yeah but there were still Romans (or at least Romano-Briton successors to Rome) there when the Angles and Saxons arrived.

The Coast Guard is good at its job. The Navy is not good at the Coast Guard’s job.
“They were trying to turn the boat back to where it could float. And we didn’t want to see that”
Q: Are you ordering Hegseth to release that full video? TRUMP: Whatever he decides is okay with me ... I saw the video. They were trying to turn the boat back to where it could float. And we didn't want to see that because that boat was loaded up...
Kegsbreath accuses President of treason and demands his execution. The Internet doesn’t forget, mostly.

Defense secretary’s comments recirculating amid dispute over US strikes on alleged drug boats in Caribbean
What an interesting world we live on. The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize supports these strikes.

Why wouldn’t she? Her main claim to fame and the reason she won the peace prize is her opposition to Maduro. Trump attacking Maduro’s drug dealing allies hurts Maduro and serves her interests, of course she’d be for it.
The main reasons to oppose Trump’s actions are all domestic. It’s an abuse of his military power, it’s an attack on our nation’s institutions, etc. It’s undoubtedly bad for American democracy, and from the inside where that’s our primary concern, it’s unquestionably bad.
From her perspective, where the situation in Venezuela is of much greater concern than the state of democracy in the United States, there are very few reasons to oppose these strikes.
It’s just makes the Peace aspect of the prize even more ironic.
But you do you
Past winners of the Nobel Peace Prize include Henry Kissinger and Yassar Arafat. And let’s not forget Alfred Nobel only created the Peace Prize after his obituary was prematurely published with the lead “The merchant of death is dead” and he didn’t want to be remembered posthumously for what he was during his lifetime: an arms manufacturer who made his fortune selling weapons to anyone who would buy them.
Yes I know. We all know.
Just a friendly reminder: Trump’s seeming super power of committing brand new atrocities every so often (ICE murders, Bad Bunny conniptions) continue to push old atrocities out of the public mind has happened again. He murdered another 2 imagined mules yesterday with nary a peep.
At least we have our first civil suit for wrongful death. Because Og forbid enough Republicans have the fucking balls to stand up to him.
The very first boat that was struck when it could have been intercepted should have had consequences of some kind. The entire chain of command from Kegbreath to the guy who pushed the button should have been prosecuted for murder, and prosecute trump if he lives through his term.

Assuming that free-and-fair elections happen this November (meaning that Democrats will control the House and maybe the Senate, too), they truly will be spoiled for choice when it comes to drawing up the Articles of Impeachment. Not only for Donny, but for Hegseth, Noem, Bondi, etc.
