Oh, I agree with you. I was just pointing out that it’s been done, and it worked then too.
I know, I was just adding to your comment not criticizing it.
duh. Tell the administration. “25000 lives saved for every boat sunk!” They should be screaming those numbers of not dead people. Interview them!
That’s their superpower, they are absolutely impervious to those pesky facts
And I have no idea how they do it.
We are living in a bad movie.
It helps when you have a tailor-made media ecosystem.
Sooner or later the facts will catch up to them, the problem is that at that point the storm they created will take all of us with them.
This right here is why I will always despise this administration. I wish the Haitian community in Springfield could class action this asshole for the misery he caused.
As a crusty old professor of mine said when I was a student at law school, “‘Rule of Law’ means that the government doesn’t get to make shit up to justify its actions.”
I guess that, according to Vance, the United States is no longer a Rule of Law country.
Right wingers don’t believe in the rule of law; they believe in brute force, cruelty and privilege.
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
The rule of law is incompatible with conservatism.
Looks like the strikes have moved to include the Pacific Ocean.
From some shitty weekend tv host to a smug, well paid death dealer. WTF!
Every Republican that you know, they did this.
Trump is quoted as saying that sinking one of the boats saved 25,000 lives, so given that there are around 75,000 drug overdose deaths a year, each boat should represent about a third of the drugs entering the country, so the US should now be drug free for the next 2-3 years.
No wonder Trump is sinking all those boats. Not only do they bring drugs into the country, they’re taking jobs away from hard-working American drug dealers.
The drugs don’t belong to the country of Colombia though. They belong to the cartels and cartels have all kinds of options for retaliation. Mass shootings, bombings, kidnappings, assassinations, et cetera. Up to this point, the war on drugs has been won decisively by drugs. Trump isn’t going to do more than just piss them off at which point he will find out he’s not the only one who doesn’t play by the rules.
Third Fourth Fifth time’s the charm?
That’s called Trump Math. Just like he lowered the cost of prescriptions by 600%, 800%, sometimes 1200%, he’s now lowered OD deaths by 2000%, and that number will only go up.
That assumes there were any actual drugs on the boats. For all we know Trump has been blowing up fishing boats and the cartels are glad to have them out of the way.
