Ok MeanOldLady, you be Brett Butler and I’ll be Betty White… Who was the bimbo, I can’t think of her name? I loved the Match Game, even though I only saw it on Game Show Network reruns. I’m not quite old enough to have seen it first time around.
Does anyone remember the “Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour” wherein the first part of the show was the traditional Match Game with Rayburn hosting and a panel that included Jon “Bowser” Bauman (of Sha-Na-Na)? Then in the second half hour, Jon and Gene would trade places, another tier of second-string celebrities was added to the top, and Jon would host a game of Hollywood Squares with Charles Nelson Reilly in the center? Anyone?
Okay, here’s the deal. With no hard feelings, I’ve replaced astorian in the interest of getting this experiment moving again. Stick around, astorian, I’ll be glad to have you back in the game later.
Skammer joins us now, and I have all 6 panelists responses.
The new arrangement is thus:
HardlySanguine MeanOldLady antonio107
Skammer etv78 Dr. Girlfriend
So, without further ado, MadTheSwine: please give us your answer to
A fine answer, one which I might have chosen myself.
And now to see what the panelists had to say. I was originally going to try to do this sequentially, but I think in the interest of keeping the ball rolling, I’ll just say, panelists, please post the answers that you had previously PMed me and let’s see how MadTheSwine did with “University Scholar.”
That’s a fair point. It’s not what I had in mind, but I think in the effort to get us going again, I’ll take that suggestion and go with it. If things start running more quickly again, maybe we’ll switch back to my original idea later:
University _______
HardlySanguine: University relations MeanOldLady: University education antonio107: University of Michigan Skammer: University degree etv78: University of Phoenix Dr. Girlfriend: as we know, gave University degree
So, MadTheSwine, I’m sorry to say that’s no points in round 1 for you. Good argument for going with your first instinct, though, as “of Michigan” would have gotten you one point, at least. Now’s a good time to remind both contestants that round 1 does traditionally generate a broad variety of answers.
Better luck in round 2.
Alrighty, cmkeller, please begin thinking about your answer for this, your question in round 1:
_______ STREET
Panelists, please now PM me with your response.
