Matt Drudge

Where does Matt Drudge get all these “unnamed sources” that are so frequent on his popular website. www.drudgereport.com ?

Perhaps we can get an “unnamed” source to enlighten us?

Like most information based industries, journalism is based on connections. They are the life-blood of all reporters. People choose to remain “unnamed” so that they can give the reciprocal favor while still keeping their job. Without “unnamed sources” Drudgereport would just be another AP outlet.

Many, many people are in possesion of information that others are willing to pay for, not getting caught is the key. Drudge gets his sources from anywhere and everywhere, he has the priviledge of re-using these resources if he doesn’t “burn” them.

Hope this helps. Viva La Drudge!

Without “unnamed sources,” the Drudge Report might be as accurate as AP. As it is, Drudge is notorious for running almost anything without checking facts.

Perhaps some cites of this erroneous behaviour could be provided? Maybe you have a better source? Do tell.
