Technically I guess the OP’s approach does qualify as an “answer.”

Here’s an even kinder, gentler answer: “Nobody knows.” Makes the guest feel better about having to ask the question in the first place.

Interestingly, “why is the sky blue?” turns out to not be a particularly simple question after all, unless you’re an atmospheric scientist or something.

Not only do we give the reason light is the color it is, but we explain how the optic system changes light into what we perceive. We then argue over the minute wavelength difference between sun through acid rain clouds or neutral rain clouds.

Having read the words eyes and blue in the thread at some point, somebody else starts a new thread asking how many people have been born with blue eyes. Let me steal a quote from an old Tootsie Pop commercial.

Here’s why I still use smilies sometimes! I should have thrown a gaggle of them in my OP. Yes, this “new” method is even more obnoxious than the GIYF response. On the other hand, it’s more high-tech and will make some people think that their computer is possessed!

Nope, uses the same cursor on Windows OS as it does on Mac OS.
