Maybe I don't need the electric cart any more?

I don’t have my own personal electric cart, but for some years I’ve been using the ones that various grocery stores and big box stores have available, until the past year or so. I’ve lost about 40% of my excess weight, and I’ve been slowly building up stamina. At first, I just walked in the regular shops and grocery stores. But I’ve shopped in a big box megastore twice this week, covering most of the store each time, and both times I’ve been able to do it under my own power. I haven’t set any speed records, but I made it without an electric cart.

This might seem like a little thing, but it’s a big thing to me. My doctor was ready to prescribe a power chair for me a few years ago, but I’ve been able to lose a lot of weight, and build up my stamina.

That’s not a little thing, it’s super awesome. Congratulations!

That’s pretty incredible and fantastic. Good for you. It couldn’t have been easy to do, so kudos!

Someday you will be able to swashbuckle like a true Pirate Queen!

Maybe? Definitely not. That’s definitely quite an accomplishment. Leave the mark carts for the little old ladies!

Yay! Congratulations!

Seriously, that’s not a little thing. Losing significant weight is hard. Building your strength up is hard. Good for you.

40%?! That is definitely *not *a little thing. Give yourself a pat on the back, soon you’ll be racing on the supermarket carts.

That’s an awesome milestone, congratulations!

I see it as a big accomplishment. I know how you want to tell people you improved, but then you think I might not be this way next week.

Good for you - next a MARATHON!

Only partially joking, why should your accomplishments count less than anyone else’s?

Congratulations!

Pretty cool. Here’s wishing you continued success and health!

A lot of people would have taken the easy way out. Kudos to you for sticking with something difficult–with what are probably great health benefits for you (plus mobility!).

Good for you, Lynn. This is really a good accomplishment and I wish you continued success in keeping the weight off.

Excellent! Keep up the good work.

fantastic! a major accomplishment.

That is awesome! Congratulations!

There but for the grace go those of us fortunate enough never to have needed powered assistance to complete routine chores. Well done Lynn!

That is fantastic, Lynn. Really, really fantastic. That’s a lot of hard work and effort and it’s paid off! Congratulations!

Thanks for the congratulations, everyone. Maybe after I’ve gotten a little stronger and have more stamina, I can go to a mall again!

I have worried about you from the first time I met you. This is the greatest news… I need to follow your example. Keep on keeping on…

Maybe my next trip to Texas we can meet up share some news… Would be great to see you again…
