This was the first time in 32 years that Virginia didn’t elect a governor from the opposite party of the President.
Hopefully a preview of 2014, where Dems should retain their majorities and cut into if not flip GOP majorities
These kinds of precedents don’t mean as much as you’d think.
Apparently, the idiot political telemarketers can’t be bothered to filter their lists so they only call people who are actually in the 33rd district. Three calls today, and no doubt more of the same for another month…
I love to hear an evangelical GOP voter call Ted Cruz an idiot. That is music to my ears. I too live in VA and proudly voted for McCauliffe because since moving to Va in 1999 I have lived through two fantastic Democrat governors who left this state in great shape to deal with the Great Bush recession of 2008. Then we got the Evangelical Republican Governor who was a miserable governor who it appears will be indicted after he and his allegedly gift laden wife exit the governor’s mansion.
This is McCauliffe’s first run for political office and he has baggage his opponents would say because of his relationship with the Clinton’s. That slur is odd because President Clinton has a very impressive economic legacy for leaving office with several years of annual budget surpluses.
McCauliffe is not going to turn Va into some kind of socialist agenda because he never intends to and the Democrat machinery in the state would not allow it if he did.
He will put a stop to rural Virginian’s drive to put the government between a woman and her doctor and other social edicts. Cooch was nutty as they come on religion driven issues and the Lt Gov for republicans was a massive joke where I live in Northern Va.
I will thank you. Merry Christmas too.
Why are they calling at all after the election?
You’re most welcome and Merry Christmas to you too! Now, let me double down on that and point out that I’ve also predicted Terry McAuliffe to be the next President.
