This. I’d kill for a sausage mcmuffin when I’m hammered. There’s little activity at the 24hr McDonald’s in my neighborhood, maybe 10 or 12 people there after midnight. But Denny’s is PACKED full of drunken frat boys. And that Denny’s doesn’t get that busy at BREAKFAST, either. I think it’s a shrewd idea by McDonald’s.
But I’m with the OP on this. The only time I really want mcdick’s breakfast is around 1pm before I go and play squash on a Saturday. Something greasy and disgusting to make me hate myself before I go and exercise…

Huh? They don’t do that at any McDonalds I’ve ever been in. Part of a sign is for breakfast stuff and it has some notice like “served before 10:30am” or some such, then the regular food is on the rest of the signs.
Yes, serving breakfast all day, or even into lunch hours, is a pain in the ass. Nothing like having a grill full of burgers and buns, melt set-ups, sauteed onions and peppers, quesadillas, chicken breasts…and then some jackass wants a pancake breakfast with over easy eggs. Makes it very hard on the cook.
That’s why I tell my servers to hide the breakfast menus after 11:00 a.m. and to only give them out to people who specifically ask for breakfast…
