I’d rather have a McRib than Spam or Vienna sausages – eurgh!
Nummy, nummy McRib! With extra pickles!

Homer said, “I have eaten the ribs of God!”
What ticks me off is that I asked for a double McRib and they would not make me one. So close to perfect, but so far.
That’s because there’s no button on the cash register that has a photo of a double McRib for the cashier to press. Don’t you know that McD’s cashier’s can’t actually think?
Buy 2 and make your own. Problem solved.
That being said, I’m not a big fan. But sometimes they *just *hit the spot.
Had one a couple days ago, and it did not live up to my memories. The barbeque sauce was pretty bland and the meat patty was basically flavorless. Maybe I’ve just become too much of a foodie after living in the SF Bay Area for 15 years.
For some added deliciousness, add a scoop of coleslaw to your McRib. Nom, nom, nom…
Before I pontificate further than my own remark up-thread, I got inspired to go out and actually try a McRib. Now I can say (echoing someone else up-thread): Meh.
The sauce was bland. The meat was tasteless and rather mushy. Not at all like ripping solid meat off a real bone with your bare incisors! Didn’t at all satisfy my inner carnivore. I was hoping at least the sauce would be stronger and tangy.
Went grocery shopping after that, and spotted frozen BBQ faux rib patties. (Yes, OnCor brand in fact.) Just had to buy a pack to give them a try. Haven’t tried them yet. I’m hoping at least the sauce will bite back some. Above quote NOT encouraging.
ETA: For fast food with a semblance of real BBQ tang, however, the occasional re-appearance of BBQ KFC is not bad at all.

McRibs are not available at my local McDonald’s should I complain?
Just had my yearly McRib pilgramage after work tonight. I am always amazed at how small they have become.
The flavor was decent but GOD how messy! BBQ sauce running all over, onions falling off. I enjoy the sandwich itself but the clean-up takes the pleasure out for me.
So… I’m done till next year…
It’s the end of the McRib! At least until next year. I thought about getting one. I did not eat a McRib yet nor do I want to. This is what turned me off: From the McDonald’s website, under the FAQ, What animal is the McRib made of?
Talk about giving an evasive answer, McDonald’s!
The answer was listed above…
“Think smaller, more legs”…
Am I somehow being whooshed here?
That’s not evasive at all.
Pork is not an animal.
Neither is beef.
I cut out of my post a couple of iterations mentioning that, as I didn’t find my snark witty. I figured I would just let the answer speak for itself, especially if I was being whooshed.
I had two McRibs today, November 15th, so it’s not completely gone. Maybe each store is allowed to sell out their remaining stock of meat logs?
I’m definitely getting sick of them, though. Good thing it’s a limited time only.
McInnards! Yum!
The McDonald’s across from my apartment still had them today (Nov 16.)
