I made the ultimate lazy man McRibs by buying Banquet TV dinner BBQ pork ribs and putting those between two hoagie buns, and there really is no difference in meat quality. Banquet makes “Family Size” BBQ pork ribs which are 6 pork ribs for $3 so they’re plenty cheap.
It’s strange to see the McRib so coveted. Over here (Germany), it’s available year-round in every McDonald’s, and nobody as far as I know considers them anything really special. Goes to show what a bit of artificial scarcity and clever marketing can accomplish!
Had 2 McRibs Friday. They were pretty good.
It’s my first ones since last year.
