I went to look up something on Wikipedia today, and as usual was distracted by the featured article.
Today’s article was about Jesse L. Brown, the first African-American naval aviator in the United States Navy. He had a ship named after him which, after a long and distinguished career, was leased and then sold to Egypt, who renamed it Damiyat.
Idle curiosity – I’m just wondering what that name means.
