Means Plus Function

I’m looking for ways to graphically illustrate the concept of Means Plus Function claims in intellectual property. It can be a simple diagram, or use hypothetical claim elements as examples. It should relate to electronics, but if it describes the concept well, it doesn’t have to. It can relate to birdhouses for all I care. Ideally, I’d like to show how different (but equivalent) structures within the (hypothetical) invention and an alleged infringer’s product are the means to the same function.

I’d like to know if there are any known graphics that explain this. If we come up short there, then perhaps someone has a good simple verbal/written description of Means Plus Function that just about anybody could understand. If not, then I guess this can be moved to IMHO and we can perhaps start generating some ideas.

Oh, yeah. I’m not looking for legal advice. And I’m not really expecting a herd of replies, but still…
