It was the remoteness of possibility of the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 being drawn that helped the penny finally drop for me; somebody can tell you that the odds are one in fourteen million(ish), and you could almost be excused for thinking ‘hey, that’s not so bad, only fourteen’, but when you realise that the odds of any set of numbers coming up are the same as the odds of 1,2,3,4,5,6, well, for me at least, that was when I decided never to pay the desperation tax again.
