the seems to be straightforward - like wikipedia’s which clearly shows that Obama currently has 38 , HRC 36, and Edwards 18 elected, pledged delegates and that HRC leads in total including the unelected superdelegates who have publically comitted to her but who are not bound to remain so comitted and are not elected or reflective of popular will.

to CNN’s scorecard which shows the total only, reflective more of the unelected and free to change superdelegates than anything else but which makes HRC seem to have a stupendous lead. ABC reports it the same way. And CBS And Fox.
Should the totals be reported including the unelected and free to switch around superdelegates or not? And why? They do not reflect who wins votes, they reflect established leadership preferences only and can switch at a moment if they desire to.
