Medical advice for a tingly shoulder

I have a tingling sensation on my back between my shoulder blade and the top my shoulder. It’s the same feeling you get when your foot goes to sleep (except on the back of course). Should I be worried?

Let me give you some basics though. I just got off crutches after about five weeks and am now using a cane. Could the use or misuse of either of those two devices have caused it.

I did put on some weight while on the crutches also.

Any ideas? Am I going to die of a stroke tomorrow? Please, I’m a little worried. I usually don’t have weird aches and pains.

It is possible that using the crutches to support your weight has led to a slight misalignment of a vertebra, causing a nerve to be slightly trapped.

I suggeast you go to your doctor and get it checked out.

I’d mention it at your next doctor’s visit. I wouldn’t think it would be a danger sign for stroke or heart attack, but it is not usual for you to have this, so get it checked out.
