As a Stage 4 CKD patient (non-meds: serious kidney failure) patient, I am curious: was what he got just one of the 3 ESA’s patented by Genentech or has somebody synthesized the identical hormone that the marrow produces?
A quick google seems to confirm that Amgen has indeed produced the direct hormone.
Aside from the sleazy manner in which this is being promoted, does this provide a more efficient route for boosting erythropoiesis (you betcha that was a cut 'n paste!)?
