Just saw Memento the other night, which I loved. I was suffering jetlag, though, and wasn’t clear on a a couple of things:
-
are we to believe Teddy’s version of what “really” happened to his wife (two junkies; she survived; Leonard killed her with the insulin - which he apparantly transferred to the story about the bald guy.) If not, was it ever clarified what really did happen?
-
at the very end when he’s flashing through all those images, there’s one in which he’s lying in bed with Natalie, there’s a tattoo over his left chest that says something along the lines of “I’ve done it”. Now is the implication that we’re seeing into the future, and he believes that Teddy was the killer/rapist and that he’s gotten his revenge? Or was this a tattoo that existed in the past (after the “smiling polaroid” was taken), but which Teddy convinced him to remove so that Leonard could continue to be a hitman for him?

Hi Opal!
Thanks for any help in clearing this up.
