“The word is awry, with an accent on the second syllable.” Lew Marie, Ann’s father, after looking up the word in the dictionary on That Girl . (Don Hollinger had laughed at his earlier incorrect pronunciation while they were having breakfast together.)
“Is everything to scale?” Emma Peel to John Steed after he had been shrunk by an eccentric inventor’s machine in The Avengers episode “Mission: HIGHLY Improbable.”

“He looked like Ilya Kuryakin.” Leroy Jethro Gibbs, when asked what Dr Donald “Ducky” Mallard looked like when he was younger on NCIS . (David McCallum played Ilya on The Man from UNCLE in the ‘60s.)

Right! I can’t remember who said it, either. I found a script online, but there were no names attached to the lines. I was surprised at how hard it was to find, since it seemed not very obscure.
