Men automatically double their sexiness quotient when riding motorcycles

That was you? Why do you have a girl’s name? What does **Shayna **mean?

And I still say woof.

It should be Dorjan, sorry.

This was my first bike, but it was silver and a thing of beauty.

This is the motorcycle I’m buying for myself in about three months. It will be black until I can afford to get it painted a shimmery orange.

Are girls sexier on a bike, too?

Shayna posted the photo of *Spiny Norman. Different people.

Wow I actually inspired a thread

I loooove that new R1 Johnny L.A. Too bad you didn’t get it in the Yamaha Yellow/Black/White Anniversary colors!

Here’s a pic of me on my CBR:

I have a really cool pic of my cafe racer built from a '75 Suzuki Titan, but I can’t track it down right now.

Yeah, bikes are sexy. Women on bikes are really sexy (hint, hint, 'Mika). Women who RACE motorcycles are uber sexay!

What I want to know is how long does the +bonus to sexiness last? Is it permanent for the bike-rider, or only when he’s actually on the bike? Does it linger at least a little while after getting off the bike? Would it last at least long enough for me to, say, whisk my female companion off the bike, into my arms, and into my bed?
(if not, can I have sex on the bike?)

Um, like a dingy white discount-store BD shirt with 2 weeks’ worth of scrap paper in the pocket, distended by a junk-food belly and splashed with random brown and yellow yuck? Worn with grease-spotted Dockers that end 3" above big scuffy black city shoes and ratty socks that look like you can smell 'em a block away? 'Cause I know guys like that who would just looove to meet you. :dubious:

Lasts as long as you can smell the leather!

(correction in coding mine) Ah, I see. Stil very nice.

Dorjan, very nice. Sorry for confusing your Doper name. And yes, it was the conversation we had the other night about bikes that inspired this.

Just, uh, keep some of the gear on. :o

I was just buying tires…

My XJ600 Seca II needed new tires, so I went to the shop. The 2003 R1s were there. Choice of blue or silver. And there was a red 2002. (Did I call mine a 2003 earlier? Maybe in another thread. I bought it new in 2003, but it’s a 2002.) While I was waiting for the counterman to process my order I moseyed over. But a couple walked in just as I started over and they beat me to it. They got there first and bought it. That was close. But then the salesman said he could get another brand new 2002 YZF-R1 for me. Who could resist? It was red! Not only that, but the dealership was under new management. The prices of new bikes had been significantly reduced. $9,500 including tax, license, dealer prep – the whole enchilada. Out the door. Exactly the same as the 2003s, only a much better colour scheme.

And I got the new rubber for the Seca II. That was an expensive set of tires.

So he’d be riding a Vespa?

motorcyclist isn’t something you DO, it’s something you ARE, therefore it’s always with you, a motorcyclist at the puplic library still has a certain je ne se quos, of course the effect is inversely proportional to the effort you put into it

Shayna would be Spiny Norman’s lovely wife. They met through the Dope, btw.

Aw, you just burst poor 'Mika’s bubble!

This is my main ride.

This is my second chopper we used this past weekend for a convention we went to. ( Foot clutch and hand shift )

No pics of me on it that I could find in a hurry.

Where did you get that? Those are grey market in the states aren’t they? I would so love to get one, or the Africa twin. You’re not thinking on selling are you?

I finally found a picture of me from 2001. I wish I could find something better but nothing has me, just the bike.

No, not at all. I’m sure **Shayna ** wouldn’t have posted it had she minded me admiring from a distance.

OK, slightly off topic but I do love motorcycles and would like to learn to ride… but I see no easy solution: buy expensive bike hoping to actually be good at it and then get license? Or find some schmuck “somewhere” willing to “lend” me bike to learn on, then get license, then get bike… What to do if no said schmuck is available? What do people usually do?

First, don’t buy an expensive motorcycle, you will drop it even if it’s in the parking lot, no need to dent up an expensive bike. Second look here for classes near you. Some places it’s hard to get into, others it’s not. Other then that you might have to find a bike, some people will be willing to bring it to you, then learn to ride around in a parking lot. Then get your license by trailoring the bike to the test.
