It’s spreading. From my New Yorker feed today
I don’t usually find New Yorker cartoons funny, but that’s pretty good.
My answer to the question is basically never. With no outside input I wouldn’t think about it unprompted. However when I scroll through reels my algorithm shows I like history clips. Sometimes they are about the Roman Empire.
My husband also said, “almost never.”
Now the X-Men on the other hand…

That one is probably true, if the story about Julius Caesar is true.
Allegedly, when he was in his 30s, he passed by a statue of Alexander the Great, and started weeping. When asked why, he said, “Isn’t it tragic that by mage age, Alexander was king of so many peoples, yet I have accomplished no such great deeds?”.
Caeser probably thought about Alexander every 7 seconds!

Well the last time I thought about the Roman empire was when I first spotted this thread which was just about 7 second ago, so maybe they’re right. Or was I thinking about the game (which you and I just lost).
