Men, we're facing a crisis with button up shirts

The answer is to not buy shirts that are (meaninglessly) marked S, M, L, XL.

Go to Lands End. I’ve been buying their shirts for 30 years and the quality hasn’t changed no matter what some say. I still have and wear a blue & white striped oxford I bought in 1991.

I wear a 17.5 x 37. My shirt from 1991 is a 17.5 x 37.

The torso is quite a bit narrower on the old shirt, one of the reasons I like it. I will admit that I take my new shirts to the tailor to get rid of the “blousing” around the waist.
