When I retire I will probably go the the gym in the daytime, but not in the early morning. What’s the point of not having to go to work if you’re still getting up early in the morning?
So I count as an oldster, but not yet golden. I don’t do the hanging around naked thing, I’m just not that proud of how I look that way. I also dress from the top down because I would rather cover up my flabby torso first instead of my less flabby lower parts. But my shirts generally cover the naughty bits anyway, and it’s only for a few seconds until I finish the rest.
But I do see a few guys (older than me) who do all the things you describe. I guess at some point you just stop caring? My gym is very cheap so it’s mostly young people or very old people. I’ve noticed the young ones don’t even do the towel dance because they don’t shower or change at the gym. They drive there already dressed in their workout clothes, and then drive home to clean up.
Roddy
Yeah, it’s always the old obese and generally disgusting ones who flop their junk on countertops and spread their ass cheeks to straddle the benches naked. They do their best to spread their disgustingness all over the locker room, rules and politeness signs posted or not.
Someone should start a business catering to them but I seriously doubt they’d have any interest in sharing with their fellow disgusting pigs. It has to be inflicted on everyone else, apparently.
I’m of the “I’m modest about my body” camp. No one sees my junk, whether a doctor, a man in the locker room whether gay or straight, or the TSA. For twenty years I wouldn’t take off a shirt while swimming, and for a while wouldn’t even wear shorts, although I’ve gotten comfortable with those.
I have’t been in a women’s dressing room for 45 years that had a gang shower. All the ones have little cubicles for showering, but you either have to change in there or walk to the changing area. Women usually have 2 or 3 towels. One to sit on one to dry with and maybe one for the hair.
When I’ve been in the women’s dressing rooms at big sports facilities, only a few women use the showers. The showers are frankly disgusting as there’s only 2 for 30 women. However, I’ve never seen any women who were shy about changing in front of other women. I’ve also never heard anyone express any fear about lesbians eyeing them (the way some men fear being eyed by gay men). I mean, women just don’t seem to care.
They do?? I sure don’t. Besides, there aren’t a whole lot of fully erect penises in a locker room (at least I hope not), so what good would comparing do?
