Merge into PowerPoint

Hello all,

I am creating a powerpoint presentation for an end of the year promotion ceremony. Each page should have the studetnt’s picture on it, which I figured out how to do with photo album.

NOW… I want to use the spreadsheet I have already done to basically do a “mail merge” into the powerpoint, putting each kids name and awards earned on each slide.

I know how to do mail merge in Word, but no idea if it’s even possible in Powerpoint.

Thanks for anyone who can help with this!!!

PS: Someone suggested doing the whole thing in Word instead, but there is no way to resize the pictures all at the same time, so the resizing of 210 pictures may be equally time consuming and irritating, but will go that route if needed.

No clue on PowerPoint, but if all you need to do is resize a bunch of images, you can do that using IrfanView (free to download and use). Just use the batch processing function. It should be easy to find detailed instructions for that on the internet.

Don’t know if that helps you or not but it’s a quick and easy way to resize a bunch of images.

There isn’t a simple way. If you already know VBA programming, it isn’t too tough, but if you don’t know it, you’ll spend more time learning than creating the slides manually.

I found this tool that sounds like it does what you want. They have a free trial version if you want to give it a whirl.
