Message from Oy!

Got an email from Oy! this morning, which read, in part:

*I am in the week leading up to my moving, and will be tied up to the max in the next couple, three weeks frantically trying to do that. I’m moving literally across the street (and up four houses), so it will be spread out across several days. While I’m having pro movers in for the big stuff, to keep costs down, I’ll be shuttling back and forth with little stuff for a number of days, plus there will be the huge job of unpacking.

In the evenings, well, it’s still less than a month away from the election. Other than DwtS, my time belongs to Jim Lehrer, Keith Olbermann, and Rachel Maddow. I just don’t dare go near the Dope. It’s too addictive. I’ve abandoned a number of debates smack in the middle of them, for which I apologize. But I realized yeseterday that I needed a policy of zero tolerance; I couldn’t afford to just spend a little time on the Dope. It’s too easy for a little to become four hours. And for the next two or three weeks, I don’t have four hours, or even two.

So if anyone notices, and says “I see Oy! hasn’t been back to defend her (or his, if they’re not paying attention) ridiculous statements” or something of the sort and you notice, could you put the word out? I’d really appreciate it. I’d be back to defend my ridiculous statements if I could!

When I suggested she post a message stating that she’s off IRL for the next few weeks, she said she didn’t dare even stop by and do that, so she asked me to cut and paste her email for her.

I realize she’s been around for awhile, but I just “met” Oy! in a Tiger Woods thread a few months back. She seems fun. I’ll be glad to have her back in a month. Hope you get settled nicely into your new place, Oy!!
