Messed up Win XP with Runtime Libraries

I was playing with things I shouldn’t have been. I was trying to run a program that was looking for some quickbasic runtime library or other.

In the process of trying to find the required library, I think I wound up installing a huge number of unnecessary libraries.

Anyone know how I can figure out what all was installed and how I can uninstall them? It now takes several minutes to boot up my machine and the performance seems sluggish overall.

Thanks.

How did you install these libraries and where did you find them?
If you just unpacked them into your windows system dir, they shouldn’t have an impact on perfomance.
If they came with installers, try Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.

Quick fix: Go back to a previous restore point.

Yeah, XP has Restore eating up 12% of your HD space so you might as well use it to restore to a previous point
