In the Metro II data format, there is a place to indicate an account is a commercial account (not a consumer account). I recall that if an account is commercial, there is a ‘W’ in that position. But I don’t remember what position it is.
What is the field position of the ‘W’ that indicates a commercial account?
What I’m looking for is the ECOA code. It’s in Field 37, position 265 (366 base, packed format) or field 37, position 325 (466 base character format). The reason I couldn’t find it is because I was looking at the format guide published in 2006, and it doesn’t list ‘W’. My boss had what appears to be an older (undated) format guide, and I found it there.
