Mexican firearms laws

We’ve all noticed the stricter American firearms laws and Canada has changed theirs recently so how about Mexico?
Can I go to Mexico to buy a gun and bring it home? What kind of hassle is it to legally bring home a hunting rifle? Hand Gun?

There is some massive problems with that plan. First of all, Mexican firearms laws are Draconian even by Canadian standards.

Baclground checks and licensing are required for all guns not classed as military weapon. The problem is, almost all guns are classed as military weapons in Mexico. There are only 2 million guns in private hands in Mexico out of 100 million people. That is a tiny percentage of that of the U.S.

You wouldn’t even be able to buy one as a non-citizen. Then, getting your piddly little allowable gun back into the U.S. would be another huge hurdle.

You are already living in the gunowners’s paradise of North America.
