I’m trying to counter a point that someone took me to task for about an earlier episode in the series, in particular the second half of Calderon’s Return otherwise known as Calderon’s Demise.
I said it looked for all the world like it was shot and edited so that they could hide a low budget, for example reusing old footage, cutting away from any form of squibs or explosions, only using two of it’s principle cast etc. She refuted this by saying that MTV had put a huge amount of capital behind Miami Vice. I’ve received no answers from Google or the IMDB, so I turn to you in the hope that someone has a ‘making of’ type book. Here are my questions -
What was the original budget per episode?
Did it increase after the first six episodes ?
How much went into shooting on 35mm ?
How the hell did Phillip Michael Thomas get cast in this thing?
