Look, Crichton is an asshole, by far the bigger asshole of the two. But you don’t gain any sympathy points by being an asshole back by joking that being employed by a pharma firm is worse than raping children.

Apparently, someone CAN be that bizarrely misguided, so desperate for a quid-pro-quo or some finger-wagging thing to say that they’d actually first read the comment seriously, and then told that it’s a joke, get all huffy about joking about rape. I mean, that’s truly incredible.
