Well, it had to come sometime. The wingnuts have blamed our “success that hasn’t occured yet” in Iraq on Democrats and liberals at home, the generals, the Iraqis themselves…everyone but themselves and Bush. So I guess they had to start suggesting at some point that maybe our soldiers themselves weren’t doing all they could.
As assorted bloggers have already pointed out, can you imagine the wrath of the Right if a Howard Dean or a Markos Moulitsas had said this? But it’s one of their own, so no harm, no foul.
