LA Times website is stating it quite plainly “Pop Icon Michael Jackson is Dead”

I was actually dumbfounded when 50 concerts sold out almost instantly. I can 't imagine how anyone thought he’d be in any kind of shape to perform in 50 shows…never mind actually put on 50 *good * shows.
It’s all kind of sad and pathetic how his life turned out.

CNN is only saying that he was taken to the hospital “in cardiac arrest,” and that said hospital, for obvious reasons, is not releasing any details at the moment.
If TMZ is right, wow, what a blow to my memories of childhood. Even if they aren’t, it’s still pretty serious.
