Michael Jackson vs Iraq, who will win?

I still say that the “major coverage” MJ gets is simply due to the 24 hr news stations having to fill air time. Celebrity trials are just made for this kind of TV-- endless debates and predictions by so-called experts on what might have happened, what the defense will do, what the prosecutor will do, etc etc etc.

A better guage is the % of time spent on MJ by the networks in their national news coverage shows (typically 1/2 hr per night). MJ will get a minute or so of coverage, and then they’ll get to the serious stuff.

The cable news channels just endlessly repeat the same stuff over and over again all day long (regardless of the subject), and they need so much filler that the MJ story will appear to get major coverage simply because there isn’t 24 hrs worth of serious news to be had.

Aldebaran,

"I think it should be clear that I doubt everything I didn’t investigate myself. And when I investigate and finally write a conclusion I’m aware of it that this is only my conclusion. I defend it of course, but no conclusion is to be taken as providing absolute evidence about anything. A conclusion is only one brick in building a house. And even many bricks - even if they have the same construction and colour as others - don’t finish the house. "

I see, so there really is no point in discussing anything at all with you, since no evidence, no matter how compelling, can prove to you anything exists or has occured which you have not personally investigated. This rules out you being able to discuss anything outside your immediate loci.

You do realize you just marginalized yourself completely?
