First of all, I don’t believe there has ever been a documentary that has had such an impact on world politics, or (more importantly in Hollywood terms) made so much money.
So…taking that into consideration, do you think there will be a problem with getting Part II into 8,000 theaters on opening day? Do you really think there is not 49% of the US who will not gladly plunk down their bucks to see the next Moore take of the Bush regime?
And you are right - it is only a matter of time until the film is turned into a Broadway, huge hit musical…and again, almost half of the US will be happy to stand in line to see it.
Moore would be a fool NOT to make a sequel.
Can’t wait to see the boxoffice on that, both domestic and foreign.
I’m not surprised Moore’s making a sequel, in fact I kind of expected him to make another film about Bushco. I doubt it will have the same impact as the first film, since I don’t think there’ll be any major event in the next few years that’s of the same magnitude as the WTC attacks.
I’m not a big fan of his, not because of the politics, but because of his style. I do wonder what the people attacking his credibility are citing as their proof. Though F9/11 is definitely “spun” a certain way, there’s nothing in it that’s factually incorrect. It’s been fact-checked pretty heavily.
