Microbiologists... help!!! janthinobacterium lividium

Does anybody know if the bacteria Janthinobacterium Lividium has a glycocalyx layer. I can’t remember and I didn’t write it down and I have to turn in a morphological report in just a few hours. This is the last bit of info I need.

thanks

At last! Someone in need of my services!! Microbiology Man is here!

Google has a surprisingly limited number of hits for that bacteria.

According to this site, “all bacteria secrete some sort of glycocalyx,” which is probably technically true, but probably not what you’re looking for.

I’m not familiar with that species off the top of my head. If I were you, I’d check Bergey’s Manual. If it’s not in there, do a search for some better known related species and see if they have them.
