It could be a lot worse: depressingly I wouldn’t be exactly surprised if a large software company, on being tipped off to a security flaw, ignored it and made threatening noises at the guy who found it.

I read the title as Frugal Teen microstiffs.
The Ikea thing, at least according to the article I read about the guy the other day, is a rumor. He’s never disclosed how much money he actually has, so it may or may not be more than Gates has. It’s academic for both of them anyway. 
Are boffins in big demand in the UK, or are they outsourcing them for Bombay boffins?
Yeah, he’s only donated $7 billion + to helping solve the world’s problems. What percentage of your wages do you donate?
