What did you replace Quicken with? I would like to dump them as well.
I initially tried AceMoney from a recommendation in another thread here. Its import of quicken data was a mess. So I then tried MoneySpire and import worked great. NOTE: This was 32 years worth of quicken data. Also, MoneySpire runs on Linux, although I haven’t tried that yet.
Whoa! Importing that without a hitch is impressive! I have 23 years’ worth of data in Quicken.
In a nutshell (and not wishing to hijack too much), how do you feel that MoneySpire has been an improvement in handling your personal financial management? (Not so much Quicken’s overbearing, obnoxious presence…)
I wouldn’t say it’s better, but on par. It has quirks that I don’t care for. Like when you pay a recurring bill it disappears from the calendar view. In quicken it would change color but remain in the calender view. The big plus for me is that it’s installed on my computer(s), no “cloud” involved. Although you CAN use the cloud for backup if you want.
