microsoft open window-protection from hackers

i heard on tv yesterday that microsoft found some open windows that hackers could use to take over one’s complete computer functions and that microsoft had a download on their site to defend against this happening. i went to microsoft’s homepage and found nothing even close. i would think that something of this import would be something that they would definitely want to make readily accessible. does anyone know where this download can be found?

XP is immune…whew. MS has a patch doesn’t it?

Yes. You can download the MDAC patch from Windows Update or the Technet bulletin.
