It took some time, but I’ve copied all my iTunes songs from Windows XP Old to Windows XP New successfully. - Now I would like to migrate my iTunes songs *metadata *too, especially the ratings.
How do I do that?
Read up on iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml, both of which are located in C:\Documents and Settings*username.DOMAIN\My Documents\My Music\iTunes* on my computer. If you haven’t done much with the new iTunes, it may be as simple as just copying the itl file over.
