Mike Biddle TED talk on recycling plastic

Mike Biddle has a TED talk right now about how his company MBA Plastics has developed sorting technology to economically sort waste streams for plastic. How does this recycled plastic compare in price and quality?

Thanks,
Rob

I watched that last night. He only mentioned sorting by color, not type of plastic. But on the web site, they have listings for different grades. Maybe he left some trade secret information out of the talk that would enable them to sort by other criteria.

No, I think he mentioned sorting by type as well. (I will have to watch it again after work to confirm.) Otherwise, what good would it be?

Rob

The charts he presented showed how the different colors and density of metals made them efficient to sort. A comparable chart for plastics showed them all nearly the same density.

Yes, he presented that chart to show the problems impeding the recycling of plastics that he purports to solve.
