Mike Rowe’s legal paperwork has a current bid of over $20 million.
That’s the MPSIMS. Now for the IMHO.
That’s obviously not a serious bid. Why do people do that? Do they think it’s funny? Are they like, “Hee hee! I’m-a gonna bid a ziiiiiillion dollars! I’ll fool him! An’ then he’ll be all mad, and shit! Hee hee hee!” A note to sham bidders: It’s been done. It wasn’t funny the first 186,000 times someone did it, and it’s still not funny. Get a life.
Noticed they were getting nothing but crank bids earlier, not he is starting over. Current bid is back at 0. I’m not sure how Canadien law works but if he was in the US, anyone could go to the courthouse of record and obtain a copy of lawsuit and judgement. The only cost would be for the time and labor. Wonder if Canada has something like the US’ Freedom of Information Act.
Mike Rowe is a guy who purchsed the domain name mikerowesoft.com. Microsoft told him to cease and desist because he was violating their trademark by using that domain name, and they offered him something like $10 for the name. He countered with something like $10,000 and from there it went into litigation. I don’t know what’s happened since then, but right now he’s into his 14th minute as the most recent 15-minutes-of-fame Internet person.
